This summer the AHS Dance Team attended camp at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. Each girl learned three different routines, all of different difficulty levels as well as different styles of dance. Each girl excelled in all aspects of the camp. Each routine they learned in the matter of three days, on the last day is when they were evaluated for each routine they learned. Each girl was evaluated individually on memory, showmanship, and execution of the routine. Consecutively as a team they earned a total of twenty-two superior ribbons (highest award) and two excellent ribbons! The team also received a Superior trophy for being a team with the highest average score. Prior to camp the team worked hard choreographing and learning a routine to bring to camp. This routine was evaluated by the instructors and the team received an Excellent ribbon! These girls worked very hard this summer to prepare themselves for the year ahead of them. We are looking forward to having a great year and providing the community with great halftime entertainment!
