The forensics team went to Newton last night where Hailey McMillen took 1st in prose, qualifying to state, and 6th in impromptu speaking and Miqueas Mazo took 3rd in Humorous Interpretation!  Congrats team!

 

Congratulations to all of the participants in the AHS Talent Show last night!  You all did a great job!  

Mrs. Dutt especially wants to thank Jaden Wood and Grace Griffith for their leadership and work to make the 11th annual spurs talent show a success again this year.  Thanks also to the students and staff who supported the show. 
3rd Place went to Anna Zey and Jack Graefe, 2nd place to Brooke Dockins and first place to Jackson Welsh, Liz Collins and Maren Meneley
Audience Choice went to Luke Hager 

 

German students:  Would you like to spend 4 weeks this summer living with a family and studying in a German high school?  The Sean D. Biggs foundation, named in memory of Sean Biggs, a 1994 graduate of Abilene High School has a scholarship available to fund the study abroad experience for one AHS student this Summer.  Deadline is April 1st.  Interested students should contact Mrs. Meneley for more information.  

Forensics Team- please stop by Miss Waite’s room today  to sign up for tournaments, including national qualifier and get information about some up coming things. 

Sign up for League Champs/Regional Wrestling Runner-up Wrestling patches in the office.  You must pay before one will be ordered for you.  Cost is $13


Attention Seniors:  Mrs. Bruna needs three things from you before you leave in May.  You need your parchment account set up, the post high school survey, and your final transcripts sent.  These can all be done now!!!!  Don’t wait until the last minute.  Need more information see the bulletin across from the counseling office.  

Seniors have you received a scholarship?  Mrs. Bruna would like to recognize those scholarships (local and college) in the achievement night and graduation programs, but unfortunately she can’t unless you report them on the scholarship survey located on the guidance office’s website.
The Eisenhower Easter Egg Roll is coming up on April 20th, and we are looking for some volunteers. We are looking for people to be role models and help with events like the egg roll, face painting, side walk chalk, arts and crafts stations, and chick bowling. It will mean a lot to young kids to have a wonderful Easter, so talk to Mr.Burkett in room 202 as soon as you can to ensure you can help out with the event you want to be apart of.”

ATTENTION SENIORS:

 Senior pictures are due this Friday, March 22nd. If you don’t turn your senior picture in, we will use your Life Touch photo. Email them to Mr. Delay atcdelay@abileneschools.org, or you will be remembered by your Life Touch picture.

ALL SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT:

On Thursday, March 21st, during seminar, the yearbook staff will be taking group pictures for the following clubs: NHS, FBLA, German Club, Spanish Club, SPURS

and STUCO. Please meet in the commons area at the beginning of seminar.  

On Friday, March 22nd during seminar, group photos for the following clubs will be taken: Debate & Forensics, FCCLA, Scholars Bowl, and Art Club. 

Read & Discover Book Club is meeting today  during seminar in the Auditorium.

Seniors - if you did not pick up your graduation items, please pick them up in the office today.

 

Your 21019 prom is 3 weeks away.  Sign up and purchase your tickets in the office.  $50 a ticket

Sign up for After Prom on Canvas.  There is a sign up in the office also.

 

Any girl interested in being a baseball manager, please check in the office.  Coach Bartley is looking for two or possibly three.
