Read and Discovery Book Club is meeting today during seminar in Gym B.

The AHS Gaming club will be back again next Wednesday. this club is open invite every Wednesday after school from 3 to 5f or people to play board games, table top games, video games and more.  Bring a friend and try something new!

If you are a junior or senior interested in the medical field, you should consider attending the 7th annual KU School of Medicine Career Awareness Day.  This event is October 23rd from 9:00-2:15 and is held at the Salina Regional Health Center.  Health care professionals from 21 different fields will host information sessions highlighting their profession.  Students will attend 6 sessions through out the day.

Due to limited space, registration is only open to juniors and seniors.  Let your counselor know if you are interested.

FCCLA membership due today.  You must also Let Mrs. Farr know if you are planning on attending the district Fall conference by Monday.  


 Abilene  High School will be hosting a college fair on October 31.  Students need to register online for the event.  Stop by the guidance office for more details.

If you haven't paid for your PSAT test, please pay Mrs. Bruna ASAP.

The National Guard recruiter will be at AHS during seminar today.  He has me information about a Warrior Weekend in October.  Sign up across from the Guidance Office.

A representative from the University of Kansas  will be here during seminar on Tuesday, October 1.  Sign up across from the guidance office.

The Air National Guard will be at AHS during lunch on Thursday, October 3.

The Marines recruiter will be here during seminar on October 8.  Sign up across from the Guidance Office.

There is a meeting in Mr. Cooper's room for FFA members that are seniors and  juniors.

The debate team had an awesome weekend at Halstead.  Dylan Delay and Zane Schultze placed 7th in the novice division and the entire team, consisting of Rebecca Gale, Jonathan Stanger, Hannah Caceres, Luke Hager, Dylan Delay, Zane Schultze, Gabby Guillen and Samantha Henry took 3rd place in overall sweepstakes.  Congrauations on an excellent start to the season!
